Step 1 of the Constructivist poster

Looking at different constructivist arts and posters made in the past, they inspired me of revolution, liberty and freedom. I noticed how the Russians had a lot of inspirations to assemble their country and fight for their independence. A lot of pictures have dark-red colors catching the eye and showing anger. The posters don't need to be simple, clean, but all over the place and attracting the viewers.

I decided to take the situation Greece is in this past year; problems with money, politics and capitalism taking advantage of a great country. By creating a poster i want to show viewers and Greeks to be confident, revolt and don't let go. How after so many years of history and wars, they cannot forget about the country's heroes how with pride and belief they fought until death.
They shouldn't let politics reign their own values,liberty and free will.

This poster will show optimism,power, confidence and all this to overcome social and economic problems.

My Final Logo ( Greek Youth Group)

This is my final logo.
I corrected the previous logo by increasing the font on the title JPC to focus the importance of the group.
Then I spiced the logo by adding the letter P and X signifying that the group is located in P-X (park-extension) which has a great significance to the kids.
Finally I wanted to put my very own design. I scanned a drawing of a sword i drew in the thumbnail sketch and placed 2 swords under the initial logo showing dominance.

Here is my Creative Matrix where I brainstormed my ideas for my final logo and also I drew thumbnail sketches to get an idea where my final logo will end up being.

Andrea's Logo

Finally I came up by creating a logo for the Greek Orthodox Youth group in Montreal. It is a group in which I take part in every week for many hours and direct this organization with some fellow friends. We were thinking of a logo to make and I now have a chance to do it.

I needed to make it simple, greek, religious and exciting.
I used the olive branches that were placed on the olympic athletes when they won Gold or any other medals. Then I placed the logo of the 2-headed eagle representing the Byzantine Empire that was looking and dominating in the East & West and promoted Christian religion.
Finally I put the initials of the group JPC (Junior Parish Commitee)on top and Hellenic Youth on the bottom for people to see what this logo and organization trully is.

Significant Logos

I chose these logos because they are the most that represent me.

1) I picked my 3 favorite sports teams.
-Habs, one of the most popular and most accomplished hockey teams, passionate for this team
-Olympiakos, my greek soccer team which i follow daily
-Steelers, one of the most accomplished football teams

2)I chose logos that can represent my greek nationality
- the olive branches with the athletes represents the ancient greeks and what they had accomplished. Looking at this image it shows Greek Culture and ancient civilisation
-the olympic symbol, which is worldwide known
-the Greek Logo, a really important symbol in my life, culture, religion and language
-the 2-headed eagle representing the Byzantine Empire which it was known for many great years of civilisation, promoting religion, peace, culture, education and great history.
